a wet trip to the Isle of Mull

During the 45 minute ferry from Oban to the Isle of Mull it was pouring for almost the entire time! I wanted to stay outside on the top to take pictures, but my camera was getting way too wet. Janelle braved the storm, but regretted it later after she was completely soaked from head to foot. Here are a few pictures I managed to take during the first part of the ferry while we were outside.

Oban at sunrise

We visited the really awesome port town of Oban for just two nights. On the morning of our only full day there, I woke up at 5am to take some pictures at sunrise (the best time to take pictures of anything, especially the coast, even if it's a west facing beach). After only about ten minutes, it started to absolutely pour! Having literally rolled out of bed, I didn't think to grab a umbrella or even a rain coat. I quickly covered my cameras with my thin jacket I was wearing and ran back to the hostel. Overall, not the most successful morning, but I managed to get a few good shots.
